System Sensing: Making sense of complexity, beyond the mind with abstract blurred background and logos for social design sydney, school of being and cocreate change

System Sensing: Navigating Complexity Beyond the Mind

In complex times, our minds often seek certainty — yet many challenges we face live in the space between. This online workshop invites you to explore a different way of engaging with complexity: through the intelligence of your body.

System sensing is a somatic approach that supports deeper insight, clarity, and creativity. Rather than analysing our way through, we slow down, tune in, and listen to the subtle cues within and around us. This session offers practical tools to:

  • Cultivate presence in uncertain situations

  • Access embodied insight and relational awareness

  • Reconnect with intuition, creativity, and care

You’ll learn gentle nervous system practices to support generative states and explore how these can enhance facilitation, collaboration, and systems work.

Ideal for: facilitators, designers, changemakers, and leaders navigating complex, relational spaces.

Testimonials

For most of us, who are cognitive bound, the carefully facilitated introduction was appreciated and helped overcome the initial reaction to sensing from a new worldview. Thank you I greatly value the experience as you have opened up another path for exploring complex situations.
– Bruce McKenzie, Change Consultant and Academic
I thought I was “just” coming to learn a new tool and get some cool new tips — but always I am reminded that real learning is transformative. I am still integrating this wisdom and I’m craving more. Thank you for the gifts.
– Katrina Mitchell, Facilitator
“There is an encouraging shift in design and elsewhere to pay attention to the senses and body knowledge as fundamental to how we get to know the world and how we work with the array of systems that are at play. My experience in their recent session opened new and interesting ideas for me to explore.”
