Community led transiton processes with Kimberley Crofts on coloured texture - Date April 6th at 12-1:00pm AEST

Moving towards sustainable transitions is so critical in these times. Amongst many other events, the recent catastrophic floods in Australia are testimony to this.

What is the place for designers in helping communities transition to more sustainable futures?

Kimberley Crofts will discuss her PhD which aims at understanding how to increase participation and the legitimacy of the community’s voice in the planning of sustainable transitions. She is also investigating potential roles for designers in community-led transition processes, so will share her learnings so far and speak about the mechanics of working with the community as an outside designer.
