Trauma is more common than you think

This post is a personal one where I share some reflections about my journey, and how I came to see that for me, trauma was not something out there, but something that was inside of me too. Trauma can show up in places we may not expect, and is not restricted to specific cohorts or topics which is why it is important that designers practise in a trauma informed way, know how to respond to traumatic distress should it arise, and understand the risks of vicarious trauma.
